VOLUNTEER TEAMS

Accreditation & Tickets

This team is located at the first arrival point for all our guests, and therefore the first friendly faces they meet! Working with accreditation, you will be following a set of clear instructions for handing out wristbands and registering guests, press, and volunteers. You are polite and accurate in your work, and always ready to pass on information with a smile. It’s great if you are familiar with electronic devices, but you will be given full training onsite.

Backstage

Previous experience in hospitality or working as an artist host is required.

You will be preparing the backstage area and dressing rooms so they are ready and well maintained throughout the evening. As a backstage host, you are expected to take good care of the artists, making sure they have what they need from the time they arrive and before they go on stage. We expect you to have a professional attitude towards the artists, and we appreciate that you are responsible and service-minded.

Bar

Love socialising and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Join the Bar Team! You'll take orders, serve drinks, and handle payments. Experience pouring beer is a plus, but not required. Just bring good vibes and be ready for a busy, social shift.

Blot Brigade

As part of the Blót Brigade, you'll be our on-call hero—jumping in where needed across the festival and keeping things running smoothly. You'll also take part in the sacred ceremonies helping guide the audience in and out of the ritual. Perfect for those who enjoy variety, action, and being part of something meaningful.

Camp

You'll oversee the guest or volunteer camp, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your duties can be manning the camp station and conducting inspection rounds. Perfect for sociable, hands-on people!

Catering & Sunshine

This team’s job is to make sure that all our amazing volunteers are taken care of, by distributing liquids and sugar, and generally spreading good vibes. You should be in good health, have good shoes, and enjoy walking in fresh air. It’s great if you’re environmentally conscious, but it’s more important that you can work independently and are able to maintain a positive attitude while doing some physical work.

Checkpoint

At an outdoor festival, it is important to have control of the area, especially the entrance and exit points of the venue. Your main job is to check for wristbands to allow guests to enter, and check for correct access to the stage/backstage entrances and the production area. Members of this team also supervise the HC ramp. You are mature, service-minded, and able to follow instructions. You have the ability to say no in a nice and calm manner, and you will be working closely with the professional security guards.

Deco

As part of the deco team, you will help our amazing artists to adorn our surroundings, bringing the heart and meaning of the festival to life. You should have a good eye for art and composition as well as be able to be on your feet for long hours. Some decorations can be heavy, so we're looking for strong team members who can assist with placing and setting up.

Delta Force

Delta Force handles key tasks before the gates of Valhalla open—helping prepare the festival grounds before everything kicks off on Wednesday. The earlier you can arrive, the more you can contribute. If you like being part of the crew that gets things ready and makes the magic possible, this is the team for you.

Green Patrol

You'll help reduce the festival’s environmental impact by ensuring proper waste sorting and handling. If you’re someone who likes to stay active and enjoys working in smaller, focused teams, this is the role for you.

Merch

Do you have experience in sales or retail? Then the Merch Team is a great fit for you! In this role, you'll engage with passionate festival-goers, offering products they’ll love. You should be comfortable working in a busy setting for extended hours and enjoy interacting with others.

Rigg

Join the Rigg Team and be a key part of bringing the festival to life and returning it to its natural state after the final show. You'll help set up and take down everything needed for the event, working in both busy and quieter moments. This role is perfect for those who enjoy a mix of hands-on work and team collaboration. If you choose Rigg, please also select two other teams that operate during the festival days. PS! We are specifically interested to hear from people that can help us after the festival with teardown.

Stagehands

Stagehands work backstage with loading the artists’ equipment in/out of cars and on/off stage as well as building risers. This job is physically demanding, and you should be strong, handy, and in good health for lifting and carrying boxes. You need to be reliable, able to take orders, and work fast. It is also important that you behave in a professional manner towards artists and crew. It is not essential, but it is preferable that you have previous experience as a stagehand (either as a volunteer or as a professional). If you have no previous experience please provide info on why you feel like you would be a good fit.

Team Assistant

This is a practical job where you’ll assist different Teams/Team Leaders, and the duties vary from which team you are placed in. You may also be put in a specific role, such as Conference Assistant, Press Tent Assistant, or Coordinator. We appreciate team players who can work independently, find solutions, and take responsibility. If you have leadership qualities or previous experience with festival coordination, we would like to hear from you!

Transport

Do you have experience as a driver or in customer service? That’s a great advantage, but the most important thing is having a positive attitude and being reliable. In this role, you’ll be driving artists, crew, and supplies to set locations, so you must be professional and courteous at all times. You’ll also help with running errands when needed. Be sure to list all relevant driver’s license classes you hold, as you may need to drive different vehicles. PS! We need drivers before, under and after the festival.
